Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor, popular for his role in the famous television shows like 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. From the time he was in college Christopher Meloni has always been fascinated by the world of acting. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he's been active on both television and films but it was his character on the smaller screen that gave him popularity and much fans. The actor has the ability to portray characters of both the bad and good sides of the legal system. He can capture the audiences attention with ease. He was the voice of a serial killer in the first TV series he appeared in and then went on to play the role of an NYPD detective. He's been nominated numerous times for prestigious Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his small screen appearances. The most appealing feature of his face is said to be his striking blue eyes. They are believed as a signature and helped in portraying the rough and savage characters with a sense of humour. The year 2006 was the last time he was featured on People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive list.
