Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13th, 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country music singer-songwriter whose tales of young heartache achieved widespread success in the early 21st century. Swift began showing an interest in the music industry from a very young age. The trajectory of her career was rapid from children's play roles and her first public appearance front of thousands. When she was 11 years old, she performed The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game and the following year she began playing guitar and began writing songs. Swift became inspired to compose her own songs by country music artists category, like Shania Twain or the Dixie Chicks. Swift's family relocated to Tennessee from Pennsylvania when she was thirteen so she could spend more time pursuing popular country music labels in Nashville.
