Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actress. She is most famous for her part as Skyler White on The AMC show Breaking Bad for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She performed the roles of Jean Ward and Martha Bullock, respectively, in The Practice. Anna Gunn began acting as an infant at Sante Fe New Mexico. Her family then moved to Ohio and she continued her love of the stage. She did theatre studies at Northwestern University, and spent one term at British American Drama Academy. Anna was working by the theater in the Chicago area for a few years, before attempting her hand at television and film roles. Anna got her first major role as Arden in the TV show Down the Shore. Down the Shore aired 29 episodes in the year 1992. At the beginning of 1990, Anna was a frequent guest on TV and in films including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue. She starred as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons in the late 2000s. Skyler played her part in Breaking Bad. Sully, the Deadwood film and a few other films also featured her. Gunn was also on the stage in a David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. She was also a part of the podcast audio drama of four episodes called Numbered Days, which was made available in 2022. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. Its strain and ultimate demise mirror the last few years in the story of Walter White.
